Wow, summer is almost over...and it has been an especially playful one for me. Since both my current books are done, I've had time to enjoy both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, as well as the forest and beautiful lakes where I live. The Gift of Healing Herbs has been out in the world for just five months now and I'm getting mail every day from people telling me how the herbs and the simple recipes in the book are helping them. I love getting these letters! It helps justify wayyy too many hours spent sittin... read more.

The herbs have been keeping me busy!! There's basil to turn into pesto...wild salad greens to gather daily, wild carrot to dry for infusions, bee balm to infuse in vinegar, and so much more!! I hope everyone is savoring summer and finding many moments of peace amid the swirling dramas of these days. Keep your heart nourished with community, move your body however you can, touch the ground regularly, sky-gaze, and keep things in perspective by taking the actions you can to improve things in your corn... read more.

Wishing everyone a happy long weekend of celebrating not only your independence (Use it! Free your Mind, the rest will follow!) , but also your interdependence with all the physical life forms and archetypal, elemental energies on Earth and in the Universe/You-niverse! Remember: All plants are consciousness altering...we grow them in our gardens but they grow us when we take them into ourselves as food, medicine, or even simply by inhaling their lovely scents. Plants and trees know who they are and help yo... read more.

I'm looking forward to sharing the generous gifts of herbal medicine during this free webinar with Evolver Learning Lab! Click the snippet below to read more :)   "Extraordinary healings can and do happen every day. Sometimes they are instantaneous. What do you imagine is possible in the realm of healing yourself or another? Consider this question carefully, because reality follows your thoughts, emotions and imagination. Had a fun and magical day of learning with the beautiful Greenwood Apprentice Circle men today! And we finally remembered to take a picture! We worked with our interrelationship with the archetypal elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, as well as Below (within), Above (outward) and the Sacred Center. We gathered and studied plantain leaf as our primary herb of the day, drinking a delicious infusion made from both narrow and broad leaf plantain that I'd gathered and dried from my wild gardens last... read more.

These lovely people asked me to share their message and I am glad to do so. So much of the current epidemic of various cancers is preventable! In this form of the disease asbestos is known to be the cause and yet, it is still used freely, rather than being banned. I call this "pathological disconnection." Reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with community to claim your voice and your power. Follow your passion, and choose your battles. If this one is yours to take on, it's certainly worthy.
