Deluxe Strawberry Smoothie 🍓 makes 1 quart 🌟

Frozen or fresh organic strawberries - 1/2+ cup
Organic Bananas - 2 small, or 1 large
Goat Kefir - 1 cup
Spice decoction* - 1/4+ cup
Tahini- 2 tablespoons
Cinnamon powder, to taste
Honey, optional, to taste
Water, as needed, to thin to desired, drinkable consistency
Blend and Enjoy!
It is so satisfying. Yum!
I eat my fair share of fruit during the hot, sticky days of summer, but I like to balance all that sugar with protein whenever possible, to keep the energy boost steady rather than spiky, and some healthy fat in here is an added bonus, too. This recipe has it all; it is cooling, complex, sweet and a little spicy, and it's immune, nervous, and digestive system nourishing, good for your skin, and amazingly delicious! Also open to infinite variations of course. Cheers!
*I made the decoction very simply. I covered a couple inches of cinnamon bark, along with one star anise pod and 2-3 allspice berries with cold water in a 1-quart saucepan, and simmered for about 30-40 minutes the day before, and added it into the smoothie on a whim.
