Many of our favorite seasonings are also herbal medicines! Basil relieves depression, ginger eases back pain and rosemary improves memory. We’ll explore spicy herbs: ginger, cayenne, garlic, and mustard and aromatics: sage, rosemary, marjoram, and thyme. We’ll discuss the health benefits of sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds, and honey, vinegar and chocolate. We’ll make preparations together to illuminate why one herb is powdered, another is used whole, one is steeped and another is boiled. This course will bring out the herbalist in you!
