Healing with Herbalism: Winter Herbal Medicine & Pine Remedies

  • The Anthroposophical Society 138 West 15th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

Herbalist Robin Rose Bennett invites students of all levels to join her for a hands-on workshop designed to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to care for everyday concerns using accessible herbs and natural remedies. Through experiential learning and sensory exploration, this workshop highlights the transformative power of plants to enhance your well-being, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We will dive into the uses of herbs specifically for winter health. Participants will learn to create teas with rose hips and elder blossoms, steams with goldenrod and yarrow, baths with milk, kefir, and rose honey, syrups with white pine along with herbs such as star anise, and ginger, and other remedies to support healing from colds, coughs, flus, and the winter blues, all using simple tools and ingredients easily accessible in your home kitchen. As part of the session, we’ll taste pine needle infusion, a nourishing and uplifting remedy that will deepen your intimate connection with plant medicine. Robin will share how to turn the infusion into a cough syrup.

This interactive workshop includes Robin Rose’s herbal teachings, such as how and when to choose the most effective form in which to use the herbs, her time-tested recipes, all materials needed for medicine making, and a delicious herbal infusion.

Develop meaningful relationships with herbs while discovering practical ways to integrate their healing benefits into your daily life.
