Native (and other Wild Green Medicine) Plants Garden- West Milford, NJ
Robin is the lead gardener in the creation of this beautiful educational garden at the intersection of Warwick Turnpike and Clinton Road in West Milford, NJ.. You can learn more about the history of this transformed adopt-a-spot that Robin calls An Educational Center at the Crossroads atwww.sustainablewestmilford.org. This is an all-volunteer effort to
both beautify the community and educate people. Robin gives tours and talks at the garden as part of her series of medicinal plant walks in NYC and NJ, and to help residents better understand and apply the healing benefits of these plants and trees in their daily lives.
In 2011 there is one gardening day a month and the public is welcome to participate and folks are also invited to adopt their own herbal bed in the garden to take care of. This is a wonderful activity for anyone, including mothers and their children. Robin is also offering a free herbal education series as part of Sustainable West Milford’s desire to empower and educate our community on issues of sustainability and earth-connection.
