The Herbal Medicine of Trees
Trees, the elders of the plant world, give us breath and beauty, and their
leaves, barks, flowers, fruits and seeds offer us physical and spiritual
medicines. This evening we will learn hands-on tree identification skills
and explore many of the healing properties of the trees that surround us. A
tasty “tree tea” will also be served.

Magical Herbs
Herbs are truly magical—they can awaken us to the magic available in every
moment and help reconnect us to the natural world and our true selves.
Lavender can help heal a broken heart; linden blossoms can open doorways for
communing with fairies; and Artemisia helps us remember our dreams. Even a
common culinary plant such as basil has a rich heritage of sacred and
magical uses. Come learn how to use these and a variety of other herbs as
teas, oils, and lucky charms. A “magical” tea will be served.

Herbs to Deepen Spiritual Awareness and Intuitive Wisdom
Plants can help us deepen our sense of connectedness to Spirit and cultivate
trust in our own inner wisdom. We’ll explore ways to use herbs such as sage,
grandmother cedar, cronewort/mugwort, cinquefoil, and rose as teas,
tinctures, infusions, anointing oils, ointments, smokes, and baths—to help
open our “third eye,” guide our dreams and trance journeys, create safe and
sacred space, and evoke healing visions in meditation, ritual, and ceremony.
