Healing Magic:  A Green Witch Guidebook to Conscious Living

Bertrand Russell said, “Every time I talk to a savant I feel quite sure that happiness is no longer a possibility. Yet when I talk with my gardener, I'm convinced of the opposite.” So my sense of urgency is not from a delusion that my words or work are terribly important, or that information offered equals wisdom put into practice, rather it is from a gardener’s perspective. It is from my heightened and deepened sense of how people all over the Earth, especially in the industrialized nations, need to put their feet into the dark rich soil that feeds us in order to create a sense of stability, both mentally and physically. How people need to plant themselves like trees to feed the under-nourished lands of their local communities, to send their roots down and out to touch each other and re-foster a sense of the intimate relationships we share, whether we express them or not. It comes from my desire to help illuminate an accessible path that leads to the personal experience of spiritual connectedness to the Great Mystery of consciousness called the Web of Life, the oneness that underlies and gives deepest meaning to our otherwise individual lives.
